Media Frenzy Overflows onto Paris Hilton's Prosecutor's Derelict Wife

There's no limit to what the media will do when it comes to hounding down anything even remotely associated with a hot story, and the poor prosecutor who busted Hilton down to her privates is no exception. Seems his wife has been wanted by the police for almost a decade, and her husband hasn't even bothered to turn her in.

Those clever bastards at the Los Angeles Times were the first to uncover it, but now the story is scattered as wide as the web. An arrest warrant was issued for her in 1998 after she failed to appear in court on charges of driving without insurance on a suspended license in an unregistered car, and bashing that "borrowed" car into another. Of course, once the story broke, she showed up in court and magically had the arrest warrant vacated, almost as if she knew somebody on the inside. That isn't how regular criminals are treated after nine-years of delinquency, is it?

Better, she's got a 12-month probation and a fine of only $431. This is the wife of the guy who criticized Paris for getting a lenient sentence, but his wife got no sentence, and that's beyond embarrassing.

His wife was driving his city-owned vehicle, crashed it while driving without insurance or a valid driver's license, then let the city coffers pony up for repairs. That's defrauding tax payers right there, and even worse still, the prosecutor had to admit that he himself drove fro more than a year without car insurance during a time when it was mandatory by state law. Also, his wife did a hit & run in the family car in 2004 to avoid prosecution, detection and arrest… and it worked.

Total bastards, huh?
