Jason Voorhees
Undead serial killer Jason Voorhees is enraged over his second billing in the title of the new horror film Freddy vs. Jason, Hollywood sources say.

"Mr. Voorhees was assured by [producer] Sean Cunningham that the film would be called Jason vs. Freddy," said Voorhees' agent, Tom Doyle. "When he learned the actual title of the movie, he felt very upset and betrayed. Believe me, that's not something you want."

In an interview with Immortal Hollywood People magazine, Voorhees cited numerous reasons why he felt he had earned top billing. "The Friday the 13th movies helped make the horror genre what it is today," the indestructible killer said. "We pioneered the false ending and the idea of the killer returning from the dead by inhabiting the bodies of others. The Nightmare on Elm Street movies have just followed in my rotting, lumbering footsteps."

Freddy Krueger of the Elm Street films responded with venom. "Poor Jason. He's just jealous because I've become the more popular killer," Krueger gloated. "I've got more personality, more panache. Of course I got top billing. I'm the one everybody wants to see!"

"Also, I can manifest myself in the physical world by entering people's dreams," he boasted. "Pretty cool, huh?"

"Krueger is living in a narcissistic fantasy," Voorhees shot back. "It's clear that I'm the real box-office draw in this movie. I've had ten movies to his seven. I use a machete; he uses those silly little finger-scalpels. I wear a menacing hockey mask; he wears that gay hat and dorky sweater. Who would you be more scared of?"

Voorhees was reportedly even angrier about being portrayed in the film as a dupe who is manipulated by the more intelligent Krueger. "When I saw the final edit, I was really disappointed with where they went with my character," he complained. "They've betrayed all the subtle nuances I've used to enrich the character over the last two decades. I've shown my comical side, my sensitive side, and of course, my angry side. And I've done it all with very little dialogue and while wearing a mask, which requires me to convey complex emotional transitions through body language alone."

Child actor "Charles" was also enraged over Hollywood's decision to cut his forty-minute diatribe on the irony of evil vs. evil.
Rumor has it that the tension between the two supernatural murderers began on the set, possibly as a result of a fleeting off-screen romance gone sour. There have been numerous reports of Krueger's promiscuous behavior, and he was seen last week at a Manhattan nightclub "being very affectionate" with Halloween killer Michael Myers.

Hollywood insiders held out hope that the two dark lords of death could reconcile their differences long enough to make more movies together. "Fame puts a lot of strain on your relationships," says producer Cunningham. "But they'll get over it. They're both strong. Before you know it, they'll be filming the next movie, and believe me, Freddy, Jason and a Baby is going to be huge."
