Small Town USA, Illinois – The controversial issue of how long it takes to remove the city registration vehicle sticker from a car window erupted this week.
Citizens with apparently little to do, protested in the local paper and to their alderman, that it takes them to long to remove their old vehicle stickers.
City Sticker Local News SatireIn today's city council meeting, Alderman Jean Ward confirmed that it took her one full hour to remove the old sticker. Though short on specific details, Alderman Ward reiterated that this is a long standing issue.
Two other Alderman and a local hardware store owner challenged Ward's assessment and indicated that on average, armed with a $1.99 razor tool, that they where able to remove their sticker in about 2 minutes.
A few other citizens attending the council meeting questioned the leadership ability of elected official the needed one hour to remove the sticker from their window. Though the city council did take any action on this today, Alderman Ward promised to not to let this issue fade away.
