It's e-zee for ree-zee to get her learn on dog fo' shee'zee. * *
The ACLU announced staunch support of ebonics this week citing their thorough, affirmative and even flagrant use of the letter "z".

"It all started with 'bizzatch' in place of 'bitch' and it quickly and permanently moved to 'off the he-z fo' re-z' in place of 'off the hook for real'," explained Graham Newman of the ACLU. "This is giving the dejected letter z some real front page press. And let's face it, when was the last time you thanked the letter Z?

Milton Bradly, makers of such spelling games as Scrabble, Boggle and Upwards, say they should have an ebonics edition of each out in time for the Christmas, which experts predict this year will be around labor day. These editions will include in the scrabble edition will be three-Q's, nine-Z's and 32-R's. A challenging game indeed for those who can't speak the language.

Based on the difficult of playing the game for native ebonic speakers who are illiterate, Hasbro is release a the all new Jab n' Jabber, the Ebonics version of the speak n' spell.

Since 1970, only a small handful of groups have been recognized for linguistic equality;

  1. The scientific community in 1971 for the letter "x",
  2. The Atari Corporation in 1982 for their re-popularization of the letter "q" with their absurd game Q-Bert, which was revoked after they saw the characters likeness.
  3. The LAPD for using a variety of racial slurs to mean "perpetrator", and
  4. Country Music Industry, for reviving "blue" to mean drunk.
The press luncheon was quite fantastic. Though the spread was minimal, it seemed no other news organizations are covering the ACLU any longer. Brendan from Perplexing Times was in attendance, and we both devoured their supply of free milk and mystery mush...

Here we can see the highschool quarterback (varsity since 87, go Spartans!) "putting a [mild] smack diz-nown." *
Singly and rarely. Ebonics, it seems, has really put a new "spi-zin" on things... that's spin for you white-folk.

Handy Reference

* "putting a [mild] smack diz-nown." Lossely translates to "Doing a small beating, giving a sucker some schooling or clownin' but rough.*** ** "It's e-zee for ree-zee to get her learn on dog fo' shee'zee." Loosely translates to; "I'm serious, she's not stupid."
*** "clowning". Just goofing around. You know... like a clown... that's how it got it's name... get it?
